At first, I didn't know what is "bingo" until I checked it out from Wikipedia:

Bingo is a game of chance played with randomly drawn numbers which players match against numbers that have been pre-printed on 5x5 matrices. The matrices may be printed on paper, card stock or electronically represented and are referred to as cards.

It's said that the game of bingo was originally from lottery game played in Italy at about year 1530. In the nineteenth century, Bingo was widely used in Germany (and perhaps some other countries) for educational purposes to teach children spelling, animal names, and multiplication tables. In the United States of America, the game is primarily staged by churches or charity organizations. Their legality and stakes vary by state regulation.

In some states, bingo halls are rented out to sponsoring organizations, and such halls often run games almost every day. While commercial bingo games in the US are primarily offered by casinos (only in Nevada).
